While we are passionate advocates of herd living, we also recognise that no two horses are the same.

Successful herd management requires careful observation and an understanding of individual personalities. Some horses settle immediately into larger groups, while others need more gradual introductions. Older horses, those with medical conditions or horses with particular social preferences may require a more tailored approach.
Our role is to understand each horse as an individual while still allowing them to benefit from the social and behavioural advantages of living within a herd environment.
